The Post Graduate Department of Eco-Restoration was established in the year 2005 in Dimoria College ,Khetri. This course is a full time M.Sc.course affiliated under Life Science Department of Dibrugarh University. During its establishment , this course is having collaboration with SER (Society for Ecological Restoration)India Chapter. The 1st Regional Eco-Restoration Resource Centre was inaugurated under this department in Dimoria College by Prof. A.F.Clewell,Restoration Ecology Specialist from USA & Dr.N.R.Desai-Executive Director of SER-India Chapter,Pune in 2005. One of the remarkable achievement of this department was the signing of MoU between Brandenburg University of Technology,Cottbus,Germany and Dimoria college,Khetri for the mutual exchange of the students and faculties for the promotion of Ecological Restoration and giving a good exposure to the students from this department.As an outcome of it,the 1st batch of students from this course had successfully completed 6 months course on Restoration Ecology including 1month summer school programme from Brendenburg Technical University (BTU),Germany in the year 2008. Till the year 2021, 14 batches of students has successfully completed the M.Sc.Eco-Restoration Course.
